Dirty Projectors, who have just released new album ‘Bitte Orca’ (REVIEW), were involved in a road accident when their van flipped outside Detroit, Michigan while on tour yesterday.
Live dates in Toronto and Montreal have been cancelled (on the 24th and 25th June respectively). All members of the band were reported to be okay with no serious injuries sustained and were discharged from hospital. An official statement from the band reads:
“Dirty Projectors’ van flipped outside of Detroit, MI on their way up to Toronto. Although the crash was serious, we’re happy to report that all members of the band have been safely discharged from the hospital. The band will be flying home to New York in the morning to regroup and rest. Unfortunately, the band will have to cancel Toronto and Montreal. Thank you for understanding and sending your well wishes.”
