Dirty Projectors / Bjork Physical Release

'Mount Wittenberg Orca' given physical pressing

Dirty Projectors and Bjork are set to give their project ‘Mount Wittenberg Orca’ a physical release.

Given a digital release last year, the collaboration between Dirty Projectors and Bjork matched two very distinct talents. ‘Mount Wittenberg Orca’ was a startling release, which began life back in 2009.

Inspired by events on Mt. Wittenberg in Nor Cal, the EP also references the small Italian theatres which gave birth to opera.

Written across five days in May 2009, the project focuses largely on the voice. Recorded last Spring, ‘Mount Wittenberg Orca’ was originally release as a download to benefit the National Geographic Society.
