Dirty Pretty Things’s Didz Hammond has spoken out about the group’s split, in a revealing new interview.
The former Cooper Temple Clause man was a founding member of the band, who announced their split yesterday (October 1st). The group will, however, complete a forthcoming UK tour.
In an interview with BBC 6Music the bassist revealed that “it has just run its course a little bit.”
“I think we all want to get on with other things, particularly Carl, who just wants to have some space and time to work out what he’s gonna do next,” he added.
Didz Hammond was keen to stress that this did not mean the end of individual members making music, however. “Me and Anthony and Carl have always got little diddles hanging around, but I think we just want to get on and do something else.”
