Indie icons Dirty Pretty Things have announced details of their last ever gig – a fundraiser for the charity ‘Jail Guitar Doors’.
The band formed out of the ashes of the seminal London group The Libertines. Carl Barat lead the group through two albums, with debut ‘Waterloo To Anywhere’ proving to be a massive commercial and critical success.
Dirty Pretty Things previously announced an amicable split, with band members stating that they felt the time had come to try something new. An emotional British tour followed, but it seems the group have one more show up their sleeve.
The band will play a benefit for Billy Bragg’s charity ‘Jail Guitar Doors’ in the Hackney Round Chapel, London on December 11th. Joining the group will be The Enemy’s Tom Clarke as well as Reverend And The Makers and the Archie Bronson Outfit.
The charity was set up by Billy Bragg in order to buy instruments for prisoners.
