Leeds based rock outfit Dinosaur Pile Up have given fans a video guide to their new studio.
Hailing from Leeds, Dinosaur Pile Up are part of a new wave of rock acts from the city. The band have the same irresistible riffs which buoy Foo Fighters – except, y’know, they tear your ears off.
Racing up and down the country in their tour van, Dinosaur Pile Up have now settled down to record their debut album. Work on ‘Growing Pains’ is almost over, with new single ‘Mona Lisa’ due out next week.
Preparing to launch a new headline tour, the band have released a video taken during recording sessions for their album. Dinosaur Pile Up settled into the studio routine, and were able to mature as they focussed on their music.
“Growing Pains for me is a statement on how I’ve felt over the last year or so I guess. Trying to figure out who I am as a person growing up” said Matt Bigland.
“Trying to get the right band together. Trying to make a first record with little money in a time when rocking guitar bands aren’t really in fashion. It’s all kinda been a ‘growing’ in to a reality that I wasn’t totally aware of I guess. I used to get growing pains as a little kid a lot, and my whole situation reminded me of that feeling; me trying to grow into my own body…”
