Fast rising Leeds trio Dinosaur Pile Up have confirmed details of their new EP ‘The Most Powerful EP In The Universe’.
Forming little over a year ago, Dinosaur Pile Up have already built a formidable reputation. Blending cheeky and acerbic lyrics to the kind of grunge-pop that made Weezer household names, the band’s irreverence has marked them out as a breath of fresh air.
Debut single ‘My Rock And Roll’ was released in January, and immediately caught the attention of the likes of Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Steve Lemacq, amongst many others. Touring extensively throughout Europe, the band have honed a stunning live show.
As crisp and deadly as a J Mascic riff, Dinosaur Pile Up bring back memories of a time when hair was unwashed and shirts were made of flannel. Winning fans across the continent, the band were even asked to participate in France’s prestigious Les Inrocks national tour.
Following this with their next single ‘Traynor’ the band aren’t keen to wait around with their new EP set to follow soon after. Working with producer James Kenosha – responsible for work by Pulled Apart By Horses and more – the band set about crafting their debut EP.
Modestly titled ‘The Most Powerful EP In The Universe!’ the release is led by ‘Summer Hit Single’. The track is due to soundtrack a busy festival season for the band, with Dinosaur Pile Up due to appear at Bestival, Reading and Leeds and many more.
Furiously independent, Dinosaur Pile Up are set to release the new EP through their own Big Brain Records in co-operation with the esteemed indie Friends Vs Records.
