After 26 days of broadcasting 24 hours a day live from London’s Amersham Arms, Diesel:U:Music radio has gone off the air.
The station created an amazing buzz during it’s tenure seeing appearances from artists such as Public Enemy, Har Mar Superstar, Klaxons, Busy P, Bang Gang, Joe Goddard from Hot Chip, Simian Mobile Disco, Noah and the Whale, White Williams, Radio Clit, Diplo, Dragonette, Black Ghosts, Four Tet, New Young Pony Club, Domino Records, Skint Records, Merok Records, Angular Records, 1965 Records and many many more!
The radio station was an extension of the label’s commitment to unearthing new talent as witnessed annually by their Diesel:U:Music competition. The station also gave eight local youths the training and experience of working on a radio station, skills which will help them in future careers.
Worry not though, podcast of the highlights of the station’s output will be available from 1st July for you to catch anything you missed.
ClashMusic.com was on the case, airing the live stream in it’s DUM Radio microsite. You can visit the site here.
Diesel:U:Music Radio promises to return in the Autumn.
