DFA will toast its 20th birthday with a special party next month.
The label made its bow in March 2002, releasing a pair of outstanding singles: The Rapture's incredible 'House Of Jealous Lovers' and the Juan MacLean's startling 'By The Time I Get To Venus'.
An incredible launchpad, the anniversary will be toasted at an event in New York City on March 26th.
Taking place at the Knockdown Center, the three-room party will feature DFA mainstays such as James Murphy, Black Dice, Juan MacLean, Nancy Whang, Museum of Love, and Tyler Pope.
In a note, DFA comment: “It’s kind of a return to the bad-idea, over-ambitious DFA parties of yore, with 3 rooms full of DJs and bands, label family, friends old and new, fellow travelers, plus ones who wish they were at some other party, and all of you wonderful people who have supported us throughout the years…”
The party comes after a turbulent year for DFA, with label head Jonathan Galkin departing and omicron forcing LCD Soundsystem to cut short their Brooklyn residency.
DFA's 20th birthday takes place on March 26th.
