dexter Drops New ‘Fortune Cookie’ EP

And she's confirmed a headline London show...

London hyphenate dexter has shared her new ‘Fortune Cookie’ EP.

Still only 19 years old, dexter has only just finished her A-Levels, and used those study periods to finesse her songwriting. The songwriter’s curious debut EP, ‘I Do Love a Good Sandwich’, was crafted using her Mac, some software, and the on-board mic – nothing else.

A demonstration of versatility, the EP is now followed by yet more material, and news of an upcoming London headline show.

dexter will play East London’s Moth Club on November 11th, and to toast the news she’s just shared a brand new six-tracker.

‘Fortune Cookie’ mirrors the innocence of her debut, while adding in fresh elements; opening with ‘Something Real’ it continues with the cute prescience of ‘1day’ and the well-voiced irritability of ‘Vexed’.

There’s a curiously everyday quality to dexter’s work that makes her endlessly engaging – check out the EP in full below.

Tune in now.

Catch dexter at London’s Moth Club on November 11th.
