Dehd Share New Single ‘Dog Days’

Ahead of incoming album 'Poetry'...

Dehd have shared new single ‘Dog Days’.

The band are gearing up for the release of their new album, alongside a full European tour this summer. Out on May 10th, new album ‘Poetry’ melts together indie rock expression with pop aspects, resulting in something bold and immediate.

One final preview has gone online, with ‘Dog Days’ showing Dehd at their most precise. A dose of guitar-rooted melody, it also has a crunching, dynamic feel.

A power pop hymn that deals with life in all its messiness, ‘Dog Days’ has a quietly anthemic feel – something the video pushes to the forefront.

Directed by frequent collaborator Glam Hag, the clip shows Jason Balla engaging in a neat one-take sequence set in a retro Honky Tonk bar.

Dehd comment…

This song is a celebration for the messiness of life and the search for companionship. It’s about opening your heart and letting it be pummeled. It’s taking risks, receiving rejection, dealing out disappointment. It’s about being brave and sometimes making bad decisions.

It seems like everyone I know is out here grasping at love and often, fucking it up, breaking hearts and having ours broken along the way. It’s just the rules of the game and I wanted to make an anthem for people on the same rollercoaster, just trying their best, losing fast and loving hard.

Tune in now.
