Death Grips have a posted a brand new track online – grab ‘@deathgripz’ below.
Death Grips may now be firmly embedded within the traditional record label structure, but the group have still maintained their independence.
Cancelling a summer tour to work on new material, the band recently confirmed the existence of their second album. ‘NO LOVE DEEP WEB’ will be released later this year, and follows the overwhelming adulation afforded to ‘The Money Store’.
Last night Death Grips posted a new track online, named after their Twitter feed. ‘@deathgripz’ is part of the Adult Swim singles series, and finds the Sacramento collective rolling out on a corrosive boom-bap rhythm.
The vocals are largely hidden, making the lyrics difficult to decipher. That said, it’s not a million miles away from the explosive directness of ‘I’ve Seen Footage’.
