Death Grips have intensified their label row by posting a series of emails from Epic online.
Earlier this year, Death Grips decided to release their second studio album. 'NO LOVE DEEP WEB' was a typically unrelenting, ground-breaking piece of hip hop which – sonically, at least – acted as a mirror to their stunning debut 'The Money Shroud'.
The problem? Death Grips didn't inform label Epic of their plans, they simply released the album. The material swiftly disappeared from the web with Death Grips blaming their label for the sudden removal of 'NO LOVE DEEP WEB'.
However many felt that the band themselves were behind the stunt. Last night (October 31st) Death Grips posted two letters from Epic indicating that the label were, in fact, at fault for the removal of 'NO LOVE DEEP WEB' from the internet. Posted with the line "got sick of hearing about this marketing shit, annoying" the band then wrote: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOW FUCK OFF."
