Death Cab For Cutie have seemingly begun work on their new studio album.
Begun in obscurity, the rise of Death Cab For Cutie neatly parallels that of American indie rock as a whole. 2011's 'Codes And Keys' became a global success, sparking a lengthy period of touring from the band.
Taking time off, Ben Gibbard re-visited his famed project The Postal Service for a series of emotional shows. Now it seems that the songwriter is ready to return to his day job, with Death Cab For Cutie heading back into the studio.
Posting a number of images on Instagram, the band used messages such as "DCFC LP8 begins", "If you need Nick, he'll be in here for a bit." and "Oh captain, our captain.".
