"Holy Pictures" Due Out Soon

Belfast born DJ and soundtracking legend David Holmes is set to release his long awaited new album "The Holy Pictures" on September 8th.

Deeply autobiographical, the new album recalls Holmes childhood in Northern Ireland and has been a lifetime in the making. Spurred on by the death of his mother, the DJ re-examines his musical roots providing a unique insight into one of UK dance music's most creative minds.

To celebrate the release of the album David Holmes will be playing two very special DJ sets. On Sunday 7th September he will be joined by the legendary Andrew Weatherall for what will no doubt be a famous night in The Lock Tavern. Following this on Tuesday September 9th, the DJ will play a short set in the Rough Trade East store.

"The Holy Pictures" combines the best in Holmes output, revealing his tastes and passions whilst also expanding his trademark sound. At once familiar and challenging, it may well be Holmes best record to date.
