David Bowie is reportedly in the process of opening a pet shop named 'The Spiders From Mars'.
Sitting outside the music scene for almost a decade, David Bowie's comeback has been spectacularly well managed. New album 'The Next Day' ranks with any of his modern work, and deservedly rushed into the charts at number one.
With rumours of a potential tour still floating around, fans are eager to see what the iconic British artist will attempt next. If reports are true, then it could be his biggest surprise to date.
Sources close to the singer claim that David Bowie is planning to open a pet shop. Following on from the 'Heroes' reference on the cover of 'The Next Day' it is claimed that the artist will name his venture 'The Spiders From Mars'.
"Well, David's always been a big fan of exotic pets. In fact, in many ways his house of full of Scary Monsters!" the source – a London cab driver – claimed. "So opening his own shop and making the obsession public was a pretty logical step, really".
Named 'The Spiders From Mars' the shop – set to open in New York – will seemingly concentrate on arachnids. "Oh Dave's a massive fan of spiders" our source continued. "They're just like him: skeletal creatures of the night who don't release albums very often".
