Darla Jade’s ‘On My Tongue’ Reaches Towards The Light

An alt-pop mixture of light and shade...

Darla Jade returns with new single ‘On My Tongue’.

The songwriter works instinctually, attempting to pin down emotions in her music before they pass. Recent banger ‘Broken Armour’ – which came out earlier this year – revelled in vulnerability, while follow up singles ‘Glitch In The Matrix’ and ‘Can’t Run Forever’ underlined her precocious talent.

Out now, new single ‘On My Tongue’ twists it up again, with Darla Jade focussing on that fusion of light and shade. Lyrically, she’s discussing negative emotions, while funnelling this in a way that is bright, and optimistic.

Explaining more, Darla Jade shares…

“I wrote ‘On My Tongue’ last year with Gold Spectacles. We wrote it about the bitterness felt when bad things happen to good people. It’s about wanting to wallow in that angry state of mind, even when you know thinking positively would be a better option!”

The Stoke-on-Trent songwriter reaches for the stars, and it’s only right to follow – tune in now.
