DARGZ returns with new single ‘Save You’.
The producer’s genre-splicing style has a sense of freedom and independence redolent of jazz, allowing him to fuse digital studio techniques with analogue instrumentation.
2023’s debut album ‘Happiness’ was a storming success, racking up some imposing streaming figures. A limited vinyl run sold out almost instantly, with prices for pristine copies reaching eye-watering levels on Discogs.
Out now, ‘Save You’ is another first for DARGZ – it’s the first time he’s utilised his own vocals on a track.
A neat return, there’s a refreshing sense of summer energy, with DARGZ aiming to replicate the physicality of his live shows.
Speaking of which: catch the producer at the Jazz Cafe in London on February 27th.
Of the new song, he comments…
“This summer a collection of producers gathered at a beautiful studio in France (LiMusic). I had never considered singing on a track before but there was a real atmosphere of spontaneity and some magic in the air. Torky Tork who I co-produced this track helped the whole thing come together in less than an hour, with myself playing the instruments and singing. It was a burst of energy.”
