Danny Brown Reveals Album Details

Rustie, A$AP Rocky and more to contribute

Danny Brown has revealed more details about his upcoming 'O.D.B.' album, which is set to feature Rustie, A$AP Rocky and more.

For the past year, Danny Brown has been teasing fans with snippets of information about his proposed new album. Last night the rapper took to Twitter, revealing a number of final details about the upcoming LP which will be titled – somewhat incongruously – 'O.D.B.'

According to Pitchfork the title is a shortened version of 'Ol' Danny Brown' and will actually be called 'Old'. Chatting to Fuse last week, Danny Brown included a few teasing pieces of information including hints at who the guest cast on the album would contain.

First up, there will be little in the way of foul and abusive language: "If people are just looking for dick-sucking jokes, there isn't too many of them this time." Although Danny Brown admitted that a few guest spots have yet to be filled, the rapper did name A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Kitty Pryde, and Purity Ring as contributors.

SKYWLKR and Paul White are involved in production, alongside beats from Darq E Freaker, Oh No and Warp signing Rustie. "He's actually the guy that ended the album, to be honest," Brown said of the latter's contribution. "I was kind of stuck, and through a stroke of God, he emailed me and said, 'Yo, I want to submit you some tracks for the album.' I thought I was done, but I knew I needed a little more flair. He sent me seven beats, and I ended up using three of them."

'Old' is set to be released next year. Here's 'Monopoly'.
