Dann Dib returns with new single ‘TWIX’.
The artist is continually looking to stretch his sound, absorbing fresh influences through a steady run of collaborators.
Recently entering the studio with Fred Irie Beats, the two settled on a neat organic sound. Both are fans of hip-hop at its funkiest and most soulful, but neither artist was particularly keen on looking back, or appearing overtly ‘retro’.
Akin to those latter period Mac Miller bumpers or even aspects of Anderson .Paak’s catalogue, new single ‘Twix’ is out now. Irresistibly infectious, there’s a cartoonish sense of energy here, alongside some wonderful production aspects – those disco-style string sweeps, in particular.
Dann Dib leads from the front, his charismatic delivery worthy of a star-in-the-making.
“I’ve recently been working with a producer named Fred Irie Beats. He’s style has motivated me to experiment with my own, which has resulted in bringing this new super funky track. I love making music that makes people feel good, or want to dance… So I hope people can feel that when they hear it for the first time!”
Tune in now.
