Australian vocalist Daniel Merriweather has shared his new single 'Paradise'.
The songwriter's album 'Love & War' was a No. 2 success, but since then he's largely retreated into the shadows.
Having worked with some of the biggest producers around – step forward Mark Ronson – Daniel then decided to find solitary focus on his creativity.
New single 'Paradise' is out now, and it marks his triumphant return, a soulful piece of songwriting with a touch of jazz influence.
Additional production by Kwes brings 'Paradise' into a fresh space, with Daniel Merriweather focussing on a potent aspect of his personal life.
He comments:
“I was in Hollywood living out of my car and things weren’t going so well. Every night I would pretend I was living in paradise, I would pretend that I was happy and in love; I would do anything to make myself feel this way. None of it was real though; honestly it was hell. So one day I found the strength to break free. This song is about that strength…”
Tune in now.
