Daniel Knox Has Covered ‘Princess Leia’s Life Day Song’

Originally from the 1978 Star Wars Christmas Special...

Daniel Knox has shared his cover of 'Princess Leia's Life Day Song' – tune in now.

The songwriter is set to re-issue his self-titled 2015 full length later this week, accompanied by new mini-album 'I Had A Wonderful Time'.

Out on December 13th, it's trailed by a unique version of a little known Star Wars artefact.

The 1978 Star Wars Christmas Special has gone down in fan lore, and it contained more than a few musical numbers.

'Princess Leia's Life Day Song' was originally sung by Carrie Fisher, and here it is given the Daniel Knox treatment.

He comments:

"This is my rendition of Princess Leia's Life Day Song originally sung by Carrie Fisher in the infamous (if misguided) Star Wars Holiday Special that aired in 1978."

"I've never been able to complete the Christmas Special in one sitting but Princess Leia’s song at the end is worth waiting for.”

A striking, sombre, and highly affecting rendition, it's much more than a curio – tune in now.
