Daniel Avery Announces New Album ‘Song For Alpha’

New four-track EP 'Slow Fade' is out now...

Daniel Avery has confirmed details of new album 'Song For Alpha'.

The producer released debut album 'Drone Logic' back in 2014, a fantastic release that meshed together everything from techno's cerebral wing to psychedelia.

A heady mixture, 'Drone Logic' was followed by extensive touring, with the producer sneaking new material out on a DJ-Kicks mix.

Currently overseeing a monthly NTS show, Daniel Avery has now found time to detail new album 'Song For Alpha'.

Out on April 6th, he comments:

'Drone Logic’s spiritual home was the dancefloor. This record’s is definitely the road. Those late nights and hazy mornings, finding inspiration beyond the fog.

I’ve become increasingly interested in those moments in a club when the outside world becomes little more than an inconsequential thought at the back of your head. Eyes closed as opposed to hands in the air. A light emerging from the darkness – this is the idea I repeatedly returned to in the studio. The more time you spend with it the deeper you fall.

New EP 'Slow Fade' is out now, and it contains four tracks of meditative, at times almost ambient, electronics. We're only just dipping in, but it seems typically strong from a producer who applies the same exacting critique to everything that carries his name.

Tune in below.
