Dandy and Ramraz Share New Single ‘Couldn’t Make A Sound’

"Writing this song became an act of confrontation, a way to finally face the feelings I had locked away."

Israeli duo Dandy and Ramraz have shared their new single, ‘Couldn’t Make A Sound’.

The pair’s first release since ‘Sunday’, released in 2024, is a mesmerizing fusion of 2-step garage, bedroom pop and sound system flourishes, unspooling a period of emotional upheaval Dandy faced after an assault.

‘Couldn’t Make A Sound’ filters pain into wistful, deeply emotive ode to survival. Of the track, Dandy says: “‘Couldn’t Make a Sound’ is one of the most personal and emotional tracks I’ve ever created. It was born from a deeply painful experience – an assault that I kept buried inside me for years. At the time, I didn’t talk about it, as if staying silent would make it disappear.

They continue: “But trauma doesn’t just fade away; it lingers, waiting for a moment to resurface. And when it finally did, it hit me all at once. I found myself overwhelmed by emotions I had long suppressed, and the only way I knew how to process them was through music. Writing this song became an act of confrontation, a way to finally face the feelings I had locked away.”

The duo are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming EP, set to drop later this year.
