Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip have announced they will tour the UK this December with Oxford newcomer George Pringle.
The shows will see the performance poets play a series of book-lending houses, and anyone already a member of any library they play will get £1 deducted from their £6 ticket cost, ideal for bookworms and those currently living out the credit crunch.
Le Sac and Pip will team up with electro-shoegaze newcomer George Pringle, a young Oxford musician who takes a Karaoke-esque approach to her rhymes – think Lilly A, Patti Smith and Asobi Seksu building plasticine pop songs. Her new single ‘LCD I Love You, But You’re Bringing Me Down’, is also set for release on November 17.
The tour will see them play the following libraries in December:
Walsall Library (December 5)
Lancaster Library (6)
Burnley Library (7)
Skelmersdale Library (10)
Poole Library (11)
Gray’s Thurrock Library (13)
London British Library (14)
Tickets for the tour will go on sale soon. Clashmusic.com also recently hosted a Q&A with Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip where they talk about their performance poetry, new material and their many influences. Read the piece Here.
