The ever productive Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip have revealed to Clashmusic.com that they are working on new material, with recording set to begin in January.
Combining a renegade from the performance poetry scene with a mix master extraordinaire, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip were one of the more unusual acts to emerge this year. Signed to Sunday Best, debut album ‘Angles’ divided critics, with its inventive blend of rhymes with reason.
Now the band are set to head out on the ULive tour, and took time to explain to Clashmusic.com that they aren’t resting on their laurels. Lyricist Scroobius Pip explained “we’ve got a couple of new tracks that we’re working on, we’re toying with doing a few on the tour. But then we’re also thinking of holding off as we’re taking some time in January to prepare the next album.”
Known for their unusual live show, the group are apparently keeping a few surprises in store. The spoken word artist explained “we’ve got a few covers in our arsenal at the moment that we are toying with at shows at the moment. We’ll see what’s appropriate.”
