Dan Hancox Prepares New Book On Grime

Inner City Pressure is billed as "the definitive history"...

Journalist Dan Hancox has confirmed plans to release new book Inner City Pressure – a history of grime, no less – later this year.

Despite the sound's undoubted importance in British music grime remains sorely neglected by publishers, with only a few tomes capturing its rise to international significance.

The past 18 months have brought a few note-worthy books, however, with Wiley's autobiography and Jeffrey Boakye's Hold Tight catching our attention.

In a new move 4th Estate Books are set to publish Inner City Pressure, written by one of grime's key commentators.

Dan Hancox has been there from the start, and the new book draws on more than 12 years of interviews with key players.

Suffice to say we're pretty excited about this – Inner City Pressure arrives in May and you can pre-order a copy HERE.
