Melbourne alt-pop savant daine has shared new single ‘Cut My Heart Out’.
The groundbreaking pop futurist aims to end the year on a high, confirming a flurry of live performances. She’s set to support electronic wunderkind EDEN on his Australian tour in November, and then buddies up with close pals Bring Me The Horizon for Southern Hemisphere shows in April 2024.
Each new single from daine feels like a real statement, and her latest release is no exception. Out now, ‘Cut My Heart Out’ is a future-facing pop thriller, melding together third wave emo tropes and searing electronic production.
Everything daine puts her name against comes from the heart, and her new song deals with loss, trauma, and moving on. Clash spoke to daine earlier this year, and found a humble rising force in reflective mode.
“I didn’t think any of this would work out. I didn’t think my vision would be able to come to life exactly the way I imagined it,” daine reflects. “Every difficult experience I’ve had has turned out to be something really beautiful.”
