A new track from Daft Punk has been included in the latest trailer for ‘Tron: Legacy’.
It’s been a long time coming. Daft Punk are known for their secrecy, but the five year wait for new material has become unbearable. Now the first track from ‘Tron: Legacy’ can be streamed online.
The first song to be taken from the band’s soundtrack, the new clip is a trailer for the much anticipated ‘Tron’ sequel. In the works for some time, Daft Punk have agreed to score the blockbuster film.
Recorded in London with the aid of a full orchestra, fans had braced themselves for a left field return. However the new clip for ‘Tron: Legacy’ displays a synth heavy, dancefloor ready track from Daft Punk.
Melodically, it is obviously the work of the French duo but the tone of the synths, and the crack of the beats places it in a more modern, up to date context.
‘Tron: Legacy’ is set to be released on December 17th, with Jeff Bridges reprising his original role. The film will be given a sneak preview on Thursday (October 28th) with cinemas around the country hosting ‘Tron Night’.
The night will include a 20 minute preview, with tickets available from Disney’s website HERE.
