Reclusive French electro-house duo Daft Punk have taken time off from crafting their new album (fingers crossed) to release a new video celebrating Barack Obama’s inauguration.
The first African-American president of the United States, Obama’s inauguration has been celebrated around the world as a major victory for civil rights. More than a million people crowded into Washington DC yesterday (January 20th) to watch his inauguration, with well-wishers travelling from all over the world to be there.
To commemorate Obama’s inauguration Daft Punk have released a new video for their song ‘Aer Obama’. Merging Adam Freeland’s remix of ‘Aerodynamic’ with a shout out to the politician spelled on a Speak & Spell device, the video has already become a cult favourite on the internet.
The video features stop motion animation and a video montage of Obama images. Watch the video here!
There is no news of any new Daft Punk material. Sadly.
