Durex have insisted that recent reports of Daft Punk condoms have nothing to do with them.
Is Diplo messing with us? The Florida bass titan recently posted a picture to his Instagram, appearing to show a brand new Daft Punk condom range.
MTV Europe report that Daft Punk condoms were handed out at a festival in Belgium at the weekend, while other fans have reported coming across (arf!) the contraceptive.
Yet doubts persist. Diplo is a well known prankster, and the possibility for helmet jokes are too obvious to deny.
Now Durex have stepped in, revealing that the branded condoms are not official Durex products. "We are aware of reports that Durex has launched Daft Punk branded condoms following their hit single 'Get Lucky'. There is no Durex promotion or partnership with Daft Punk in the U.S. or any other markets and Durex is not posting free packs to the world's top DJs as suggested. However, we do hope that by using Durex condoms, music-lovers will continue to make sweet music together and have great sex!" (via MTV)
The mystery thickens…
