Crystal Murray returns with new single ‘Air’.
The track is out now, part of her incoming album ‘Sad Lovers & Giants’. The record acts as a broad palette for Crystal’s remarkable songwriting, fusing together left-field pop, electronics, and aspects of that alt-R&B sound.
Hitting Hackney Social in London on May 30th, the Paris-raised songwriter has paused just long enough to set a new song loose on the waiting world.
Out now, ‘Air’ utilises scintillating production from Kyu Steed (Amaarae) and Benjiflow (Wretch32, Ragz Originale), the sound design aiming for ethereal audio. Crystal’s vocal is full of allure, pointing to some of the broader themes on the incoming album.
“I’m moving away from personas, to make a clear statement that this is me,” says Crystal. “My music can be tragic and theatrical, cinematic and massive – but it is all me.”
