Converse has celebrated its 100th anniversary with a stunning series of gigs at Somerset House in London with acts appearing including The Fratellis, Justice, Unkle, The Blue Nile, Adele, The Zutons, Lupe Fiasco, The Feeling, Duffy and We Are Scientists.
The cream of 2008 appeared over the ten evenings, starting with The Fratellis kicking things off on Thursday 10th July. Amongst the highlights were a very special show by UNKLE and pop sensation Adele’s only UK festival appearance of the summer.

Held in the courtyard of London’s Somerset House, these gigs were real ‘events’ that’ll be talked about for some time. Combining a great venue with a premiere league bill, this was well worth waiting a hundred years for.
Converse trainers have become one of the ‘must have’ items for the alternative generation, and this bill celebrated that fact by drawing on acts past and present from all genres.
Here’s to the next 100 years!
