Connie Campsie Shares ‘Now That I Know You’ EP

Assured, emotive songwriting...

Rising force Connie Campsie has shared her new EP ‘Now That I Know You’.

Out now, the EP follows a string of singles, including the dulcet title track. A point of focus for the EP as a whole, the song acts as an ode to women and femininity, all through exploring her queer identity.

Connie comments: “whilst this song is talking about queer yearning, idealisation and mystique, it’s also my love letter to women…”

Crisp indie with folk aspects, the production aims for a natural finish, allowing you to feel you’re right there in the room with Connie. A series of cathartic lessons, the process of building the EP helped the songwriter learn a huge amount about herself.

She says: “As I was piecing the EP together, I made a spider gram to pin down the main themes of the songs. I circled the words ‘idealism’, ‘repetition’ and ‘gay shit’”.
