Common Confirms New Album ‘Nobody Smiling’

"...it’s really a call to action"

Common has confirmed plans to release new album 'Nobody Smiling' later this year.

One of the most high profile MCs in the game, Common has managed to stay at the top for over two decades. Retaining a social conscious in his lyrics, the rapper recently confirmed plans to go back into the studio.

Well, a new album is slated for release in 2014. As Billboard point out, Common recently sat down with Revolt TV and confirmed that his tenth studio album would be called 'Nobody Smiling'.

"'Nobody Smiling' was really a thought that came about because of all the violence that was going on in Chicago, or that is going on," he said. "It happens in Chicago, but it’s happening around the world in many ways… It's happening in the inner cities all over America. We were talking about the conditions of what’s happening when I said 'Nobody Smiling,' but it’s really a call to action."
