Commodo, Crimewave Combine On Menacing Cut ‘Redacted’

A Black Acre birthday treat...

Commodo and Crimewave combine on new single ‘Redacted’.

The new release is tied to Black Acre’s 16th birthday – an evergreen platform for left-field musical diversions, the imprint is one of our perennial go-to’s. With a broad, eclectic roster, the label opts for a new collaboration to toasts its next milestone.

Out now, ‘Redacted’ finds Crimewave and Commodo combining. Both are label mainstays, and the collaboration teases out other aspects of their work.

The guitar is reminiscent of those DJ Shadow and UNKLE samples, cinematic in that after-hours fashion. The jagged electronics seem to glimmer in the moonlight, the post-industrial setting melting together club tropes with an other-worldly sensibility.

The label comment…

“16 long years and we’re chuffed to still find ourselves amplifying the noise from cutting edge music visionaries…”

Couldn’t agree more. Check out ‘Redacted’ below.
