Colin MacIntyre Tour

Scottish singer hits the road

Acclaimed Scottish songwriter Colin MacIntyre has confirmed details of his latest UK tour.

Hailing from the remote West Coast of Scotland, Colin MacIntyre was inspired by his surroundings from an early age. Musically gifted, MacIntyre began crafting songs on his trusty acoustic.

Re-naming himself Mull Historical Society the singer soon achieved fame outside of the Hebrides. After two Top 20 UK albums MacIntyre decided that it was time for a change, and began using his own name.

The debut album by ‘Colin MacIntyre’ was ‘The Water’ released last year to no little acclaim. Featuring a guest appearance by left wing parliamentarian Tony Benn the album was a solid beginning to his new career.

Now MacIntyre is preparing to tour his second solo album. Titled ‘Island’ it is presumably a reference to his native Mull, and was released to warm reviews over the summer.

Featuring typically acerbic lyrics, the album was preceded by the single ‘Cape Wrath’ – named after a landmark in North West Sutherland.

Following the release of his new album ‘Island’ Colin MacIntyre is set to head out on a lengthy UK tour. The singer will open his tour in Edinburgh on October 15th before heading off around the country.
