Coldplay Get Remixed

Band Team Up With Jay-Z

Coldplay could be set for a new hip-hop based direction after announcing plans to release a new single featuring American rapper Jay-Z.

The band have published a message on their site announcing a new collaboration with Jay-Z, claiming that the song was part of a series of “musical moves that we have not previously attempted.”

In addition to the Jay-Z version of ‘Lost’ the globe trotting giants of rock will also release a new EP in November called ‘Prospekt’s March’. Long rumoured, a previous interview with Chris Martin saw the singer claim the EP wouldn’t be released until the new year.

‘Prospekt’s March’ is comprised of material left over from the sessions that resulted in the huge-selling album ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’. Produced by Brian Eno, it will provide an unusual glimpse of one of the world’s biggest groups at work in the studio.

‘Prospekt’s March’ is released in November. The tracklisting is as follows:

‘Life In Technicolour II’
‘Postcards From Far Away’
‘Glass Of Water’
‘Rainy Day’
‘Prospekt’s March / Poppyfields’
‘Lost +’
‘Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun remix)’
‘Now My Feet Won’t Touch The Ground’
