British planet slaying stadium rock monsters Coldplay have announced details of a new EP ‘Lost!’ due out on November 10th.
The band released their smash hit album ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’ earlier this year, and it promptly topped the charts in just about every country that has charts. A transatlantic sensations, it saw the gentle minded Englishmen become the biggest group on the planet as they cut the US Billboard chart to pieces.
The band have long been dogged by rumors of bonus material. Album sessions with Brian Eno were said to be very fruitful, and these may form the basis of bonus material on the new EP.
Coldplay issued a fan mailout to release the news, with drummer Will Champion saying “That song had been around for a long time, without ever getting finished. I was starting to get into using a particular drum programming programme. I was messing around with that and I built this beat up from scratch.
“Then Chris overheard it and played ‘Lost!’ over the top of it.”
Coldplay will release the digital-only EP ‘Lost!’ on November 10th.
