American blues rockers Cold War Kids are set to release a very special live EP in honour of the upcoming Record Store Day celebrations.
Take good care of that tiny yet friendly independent record store. Perched down a side street, they are numbering less and less with each fully working modem. Thousands of record store geeks have been laid off in recent years, taking their scorn and expert musical knowledge with them.
Seriously, though, it’s good to see bands do their bit for the humble record store. Perhaps a bigger deal in the United States than dear old Blighty, Record Store Day has nonetheless grown to become a global concern.
Cold War Kids are the latest group to announce a special release for April 18th. The group played a special set in their local record store in California, and the best of these tracks will now see the light of day.
Only available via independent retailers, it features four tracks from their sterling second album ‘Loyalty To Loyalty’.
Cold War Kids are set to release their new live EP on April 18th. Tracklisting is as follows:
‘Against Privacy’
‘Every Man I Fall For/I’ve Seen Enough’
‘Expensive Tastes’
‘Relief’
