Col Gerrard’s ‘Come On Over’ Is A Winter Warmer

“Whatever it is you want in life, you have to go and get it for yourself."

UK-dwelling artist Col Gerrard has shared his new single, ‘Come On Over’.

‘Come On Over’, produced by Grammy-nominated and BRIT-Award Winning producer Chris Potter, follows Col’s previous singles ‘You Need Me’ and ‘Sun & Sky’, released last year. Moving between London and Vancouver in his early life, later relocating to LA before settling in the UK, Col’s songs capture his wisdom, sense of adventure and joie de vivre.

“To have my music touch people in similar ways, for the emotions that I am conveying in my songs to resonate so deeply with someone as to move them, that’s my main goal and hope for my songs,Col says of his recent spate releases, and the connection he wants to build in real-time with listeners.

The languid soft rock brushstrokes of ‘Come On Over’, and Col’s other recent singles, serve as a reintroduction to an artist hitting his artistic stride. Inspired by pantheon artists like Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell and Marvin Gaye, who were able to convey a clarity of vision, Col’s affinity for classic songwriting tropes comes to life through his dulcet voice.

His songs pay tribute to the art of live performance and authentic musicianship. In other words, there’s no studio trickery here.
