World renowned Californian music festival Coachella has announced its line up, and there a few surprises in there with a host of big names confirmed.
A heavy British influence hangs over the event, with reformed acts such as The Verve and Portishead headlining along with newer acts such as Hot Chip and The Streets.
Perhaps the biggest draw for the festival will be former Pink Floyd lynch-pin Roger Waters performing the legendary Floyd masterpiece “Dark Side Of The Moon”. Coachella, now in its ninth year, has found fame not only due to its strong bills but also as a result of the weather – temperatures often soar above 100 degrees fahrenheit.
Other acts confirmed for the festival include The Breeders, Fatboy Slim, My Morning Jacket, Spiritualized and Simian Mobiule Disco. Looks great, but remember to bring the industrial strength sun block.
