Swedish denim brand Nudie Jeans is set to unveil a riotous new show in the heart of London’s East End, in conjunction with Clash.
Launching in Bethnal Green, tickets for the gig are so hot right now that money can’t actually buy them, so read on to find out how you can get yourself through the doors…
The first gig installment of Nudie Naked Talent features the deservedly hyped San Diego group The Soft Pack, with their stripped-down sound reminding us of Black Lips one minute, Velvet Underground the next. Buzzing with confidence off the back of recent UK shows, expect an onslaught of raw rock ‘n’ roll that harps back to those early Modern Lovers tracks, an echo of punk in its formative years. They’ll be gone before you know it, across to Europe to tour with a certain Franz Ferdinand, so catch ‘em while you can!
Many of you will know the band began life as The Muslims. A very special live act, with an album expected to drop later in the year, The Soft Pack are not to be missed.
Ulterior are a band that spew out a sneering breed of noise rock, with a stage show that interjects primitive throbbing electronics, the type crafted by the likes of Suicide and Silver Apples. And their skinny jean, leather-clad image delivers cranked-up biker-gang style to match an intense sonic substance.
Let’s Wrestle, meanwhile, opt for a relative good-time, clattering approach when delivering their DIY punk ditties. This is beer-spilling, hand-clapping, slacker pop from one of the best young bands you’ll find clambering across Britain’s treacherous gig circuit. Expect to leave with a goofy grin wrapped right around your face.
Merok Records will also be entertaining on DJ duties, with more contributors to the night hoping to be announced in a short minute.
