Clash is busy packing its cases in anticipation of a trip to New York next week for the CMJ conference.
And, as usual, wherever Clash goes, good music follows. We are proud, and rather smug, to have not one but two events happening as part of the CMJ Music Marathon happening in New York city from the 21st to the 25th October.
Our first takes part on Wednesday 22nd October at Lil’ Frankies at 19 1st Avenue in association with East Village Radio. Not only does it boast acoustic appearances from Scouting For Girls, Delays, Emmy The Great and Micachu but it’s free entry too!
The second event takes place the next day, 23rd October, at The Bowery Ballroom with Delays, Scouting For Girls, Chester French, Janelle Monae and Black Joe Lewis. Tickets are a mere $14 and can be secured from Ticketmaster here.
Don’t worry if you aren’t based in the New York area, we’ll be bringing a daily round-up of CMJ news, photos and reviews, plus our man on the ground, Aaron Gilbert from Delays, will be doing a daily blog right here.
The CMJ Music Marathon has been an industry fixture since it’s 1980 inception and sees gigs and panels take place over a number of days around New York City’s numerous venues. This year’s event sees appearances from a number of hot British acts including Late Of The Pier, Friendly Fires, The Whip, The Duke Spirit and White Lies.
