Circa Waves Make Their Surprise Return With ‘Hell On Earth’

A chirpy ode to our current apocalypse...

Indie tykes Circa Waves have shared new single ‘Hell On Earth’.

The band have been stirring back into life across summer, playing scintillating sets at London-based Community Festival and Benicassim.

Due to play mainstage at Reading and Leeds this month, Circa Waves blaze a trail with their surprise new single. Leaping out of the traps, it’s a pop-flavoured monster, with ‘Hell Of Earth’ discussing our current dizzying news cycle of dystopian news.

“I think I’ve died and gone to hell” sings Kieran Shudall, before adding: “And I don’t care / And I don’t care…”

A surprisingly upbeat ode to the apocalypse, the frontman says:

“‘Hell On Earth’ is about the world moving so fast around you you’re struggling to keep up. Record stores closing, politicians lying more than ever, social anxiety at its highest level and that general feeling some days that everything is going wrong.”

Tune in now.
