Church Party are marking their return with lead single ‘Back In The Room’.
Embodying the hardships and grit of the Manchester-based outfit, it’s a biting moment taken off of Church Party’s latest EP, ‘Cut The Colours’. The track makes a bold entrance with hard-hitting acoustics and big drums, turning mellow and breezy across a crowd-pleasing hook. A nod to Sixties pop and grunge, frontman Tommy Stewart allows his vocals to cut through the track’s full production, demanding its own spotlight.
Since coming together in 2014, Matt Downes, Michael Copp, Richard Stewart and Stewart have carved their own path within the alternative rock scene. ‘Cut The Colours’ proves a celebratory 5-track release, exploring themes of sex parties, heartbreak, and recovery. A momentous comeback following the band’s five year stint in 2016, ‘Back In The Room’ undoubtedly highlights their tight-knit approach, set on expanding their cult following across ther city and beyond.
Speaking on the project, Church Party expand:
“Cut The Colours represents our first official release as a band since reforming in 2022, having originally been active from 2014-2016. It represents the culmination of our own hard work that has come off our own backs with our own work and initiative. It’s our baby that we are excited to share with the world.”
Tune in now.
