Christine and the Queens has shared new song ‘rentrer chez moi’.
The boundary-shattering French artist is a true force of inspiration, with his stunning one-two statement ‘Redcar’ and ‘PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE’ presenting some of his most challenging work to date.
Absorbing statements of pan-genre creativity, the artist seemed able to channel some of life’s most intense emotions – love, passion, loss – all while stretching the pop palette to breaking point.
Hosting London’s Meltdown festival last summer, Christine and the Queens takes another step forwards with this new single.
Out now, it’s a bold, striking slice of alt-pop, drenched on emotional impact. Sharing a lengthy statement online, the artist writes in part:
“This song makes me cry because it is true, so much love I have for you, this deep decision to always stay honest – for the dance to be then the shared moment, the joyful celebration. One moment together. A wholesome surrender. One love, from one to the next, before I danced for this video I listened to Barbara
I remember
Her dancing in the living room, her approach of movement
A celebration,
A sharing
A dance that would express the inside of you, as poem”
A true tour de force of singular creativity, the single was entirely written, composed, and produced by the artist. Out now, ‘rentrer chez moi’ is accompanied by a Sasha Mongin-directed music video, produced by Premier Cri and shot in Paris and Hanches.
Tune in now.
