Christian Löffler and Fejká combine on beautiful new song ‘Fjäll’.
The German producer remains a key name in electronic music, with his wonderful, painterly touch flecked with human emotion and a sense of the organic. 2020’s ‘Lys’ was a bold step forwards, with his digital constructions moving into fresh realms.
2021 saw his ambitious ‘Parallels: Shellac Reworks’ projects drift into view, but the creativity isn’t about to stop there, with Christian Löffler embracing fresh ideas, and different challenges.
The German producer combines with Fejká on the stunning new single ‘Fjäll’, a work of frosted beauty and opaque colours. Wonderfully atmospheric, the title is an Old Norse work for a fell, a high, barren landscape feature found in Northern Europe.
Channelling the wild, open nature of the terrain, the song switches between the soft, wind-blown undulations and the rather more harsh, austere electronics.
Brushed with those soft vocals, ‘Fjäll’ seems to provide a space for Christian Löffler and Fejká to connect, and to further their artistry. Out now on Ki Records, the video features stunning Nordic terrain, the perfect augmentation to the vivid electronics within.
