Chris Martin Gives Away New Song

Coldplay man aids Imbruglia comeback

Coldplay songwriter Chris Martin has spoke of his regret at giving a song away, claiming it is one of his best ever.

Chris Martin is enjoying a hugely creative period in his life. Sessions with Brian Eno resulted in the global smash hit album ‘Viva La Vida’, which was then followed with the mini-album ‘Prospekt’s March’.

Continually working on new material, Martin has given a track to Natalie Imbruglia for her new album. Titled ‘Scars’ it has left the singer with some regrets, as he believes it is one of the best he has ever written.

“A bit annoyingly we’ve given her the best Coldplay song of all time,” Martin joked to Heraldsun.com.au. “But because we’re off-cycle we can’t do it ourselves.”

He added: “Half of me wishes we still had it. But she sounds fucking brilliant on it. I think she has a very unique talent and an incredibly unique voice.”

Former ‘Neighbours’ star Imbruglia sprang to fame on the back of single ‘Torn’ – itself also a cover. The singer then took a break from music, but has been recording her forthcoming album ‘Come To Life’.

Coldplay are currently on the Australian leg of their world tour.

Natalie Imbruglia is expect to release her comeback album ‘Come To Life’ in May.
