Chloe Qisha has shared her epic new single ‘Sex, Drugs & Existential Dread’.
These are strange times we’re living through, with economic crises, war, and humanitarian disasters dominating the headlines. It means that escapism is important, and this mixture of hedonism and darkness fuels the latest single from unstoppable pop riser Chloe Qisha.
Out now, ‘Sex, Drugs & Existential Dread’ is an instantly addictive new statement, landing mere days ahead of her long since sold out London headliner at Omera.
Her second release of 2025 – following the hugely successful single, ‘21st Century Cool Girl’ – this is a thumping, explicit, ultra-infectious pop moment.
A bold, vivacious vocal backed by that incredible arrangement, there’s seemingly a hidden link to UK legend Ian Dury in there, too.
Discussing the song, Chloe Qisha says…
Last year, myself, Rob Milton & Mary Weitz were listening to songs on Spotify when ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ by Ian Dury came on, and Mary laughed and said “what would be the modern version of that title today?” To which we suggested things like ‘Sex, Drugs and Yoga,’ ‘Sex, Drugs and Green Juice’ and then someone or other said ‘Existential Dread’ – and what started off as a joke suddenly turned into a full song!
The song at its core is me through and through, I’m the biggest homebody – I’m the happiest when I’m sat on my couch, rotting away with my cats. But that’s all laced with anxiety of course, because what would be life without a bit of existential dread.
Tune in now.
Catch Chloe Qisha at London’s Omeara on March 6th.
