China Rats are giving away new cut ‘Fly Solo’ to celebrate playing a headline set at Benicassim.
Life is all based around chance, coincidence. China Rats played a small side stage at Benicassim at the weekend, throwing their all into each song. Gaining a typically ferocious audience reaction, one of the festival organisers happened to be in the crowd.
So when Bat For Lashes’ bus broke down two hours away from the festival site, Benicassim simply asked China Rats to fill in. The Leeds four piece were shunted out into a headline slot, with a remarkable set to circumstances exposing them to tens of thousands of new fans.
Forming just under a year ago, China Rats have toasted the festival set by giving away a new track. ‘Fly Solo’ is a typically frenetic bout of amphetamine inspired punk, all Ramones style rama-lama and taut, Kinks inspired solos.
Over and out in a little under three minutes, this is classic, spiky, adrenaline fuelled indie punk. Stream / download ‘Fly Solo’ below.
